Naturally these are a great alternative to the common “one trip” plastic carrier bags that pollute our landfills in their billions and take hundreds of years to degrade. By comparison, Jute bags are strong, sturdy and enable re-use many times over. Most people believe, when buying a standard Jute bag, they are buying a natural and environmental alternative to the plastic bag - but how good an alternative are they?

Gjute™ is the first Jute bag to use a certified compostable material as the backing laminate instead of regular plastic, thus ensuring that the bag is fully biodegradable and can decompose into natural biomass, without causing any contamination to the planet.
